Spartan Perm: Recon with info by LordKomodo Spartan Perm: Recon with info by LordKomodo
this is a picture of a spartan sniper wearing recon armor. the description below was written by my brother.check out his page :iconraptorofspira: im going to be drawing more pictures of the halo spartan permutations.

RAPTOR OF SPIRA :iconraptorofspira: WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT MOST OF THE FOLLOWING DESCRIPTION IS FAN MADE. IT CONTAINS INFORMATION FROM THE DESCRIPTIONS OF RECON ARMOR FOUND IN HALO 3s APPEARANCE MENU. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS MADE UP BY ME.

The Mjolnir MarkVI Powered Assault Armor/R, otherwise known as Recon armor, was developed and tested in ONI's (Office of Naval Intelligence) Ordnance Testing Facility B5D
located in Swanbourne, Perth, Australia along side the Mark VI/S Scout armor with the goal of creating a self-powered armor with increased stealth capabilities without
lowering its endurance. The end result was a sleek, aerodynamic design built with cheap, but effective materials, reducing it's IR signiture and and Cherenkov radiation emission by more than a half.
The design also significantly reduced the amount of reflective and color-differing surfaces, giving the helmet a wide, but slim visor and lengthening the torso pieces to cover the matte alloy "body suit" underneath.

The armor itself outperformed most expectations in the field, as it's stealth abilities proved to be invaluable during reconnaissance and sabotage missions. Most Spartans trained to wear the armor opperated in small strike teams of four or five
squad members in all types of enviroments and combat situations, and were considered to be one of the most successful fighting groups in the UNSC.
